A woman whose husband is 26 years her senior says their children's teachers often mistake him for their grandfather.

Retired postman Ben Hornsby, 71, met former pawnbroker Allison Hornsby, 45, in 1998 when he delivered letters to her workplace.

Together they have five children - Benjamin, Noah and Ethan, 19-year-old triplets, and twins Mia and Jude, 15.

Although they have a strong marriage, they say some people have confused Ben with their grandfather.

Allison said, "My friends have always been supportive of our love. Ben's family have always been very loving and accepting of me and our relationship.

"On a few occasions our children's friends at school asked if Ben was their grandfather and a few teachers mistakenly assumed he was their grandfather.

"I notice that on occasion women are judging me or sometimes being rude to me. A few times we received rude and abusive messages from men on Instagram, as well as a rude comment on one of our reels on Instagram.

"This is the only rude comment on a video where we kiss and say 'that's just mean'.

"We just ignored it. We blocked a few men who privately messaged us asking about our sex life.
