Our friends across the Channel followed a close second, with Paris hailed for attacking the pandemic with doctors, vaccinations and large-scale urban renewal.

The next stop was the US East Coast hub, New York - dubbed "America's Greatest City" - which is reborn after two hellish years due to the Covid pandemic, the description adds .

"It was a chilling reminder during the pandemic of the vulnerability of even the most colossal and seemingly all-powerful; here we saw what lay ahead for the rest of the country. And the world.
