A controversial poll has surfaced again with people voting for the worst place to live in the UK.

The vote organized by the iLiveHere website allows Internet users to vote for their city and choose the area they believe is the worst in the whole country.

Peterborough, home to over 179,000, currently leads with 18.54% of the vote, well ahead of Liverpool with 6.37% and Henley-on-Thames with 5.99%.

The borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London is next with 5.34%.

The town of Cambridgeshire, meanwhile, is no stranger to leading the poll on the satirical website, winning the unwanted crown three years in a row before 2022.

Last year the cathedral city finished behind Liverpool, Luton, Huddersfield and eventual winner Aylesbury, who won by more than 25%.

Some might be surprised by the areas included. Liverpool, for example, boasted of being a World Heritage Site until recently.

Kensington and Chelsea have significant deprivation areas, but are known as one of the most expensive areas to live in London.
