Yet Another A.I. Home Sci-Fi Horror Thriller - Official 'Blank' Trailer

Blank Trailer

"I can't open the door until your work is done." Brainstorm Media has released an official trailer for an indie sci-fi thriller titled Blank, yet another Artificial Intelligence goes rogue and shoots a violent horror movie. There are so many of these A.I. horror movies these days, I don't know why they keep making them when it's pretty much always the same story. The big difference with this one is that it's also a female android. After checking in for an A.I. exploited writer's retreat, Claire finds herself trapped in her unit with a malfunctioning android. As her captor becomes increasingly unstable, she must outwit technology to get out alive. Rachel Shelley plays Claire, along with Heida Reed, Wayne Brady, Rebecca-Clare Evans and Annie Cusselle. It doesn't look as bad as so many other A.I. movies, but it doesn't look so good either. All aspects of the psychological breakdown of writer's block seem so clichéd. Take a look.

Here is the first official trailer (+ three posters) for Blank by Natalie Kennedy, direct from YouTube:

Struggling author Claire Rivers (Rachel Shelley) enrolls in an all-A.I. operated a retreat to help her writer block, but when an unforeseen software glitch occurs, she finds herself trapped inside her unit with a malfunctioning android, a degenerate host, and no communication with the outside world. As time is running out, food supplies dwindle desperately, and the android becomes increasingly unstable, Claire must overcome her fears and find a way to outsmart the technology in order to come out of retirement alive. Void is directed by British filmmaker Natalie Kennedy, who makes her directorial debut with this film after directing the television series “Council Culture” and several short films before. The screenplay is written by Stephen Herman. Produced by Rebecca-Clare Evans. This first premiered at a few genre festivals in 2021, including the Boston Science Fiction Film Festival. Brainstorm Media will debut Kennedy's Blank in select US theaters + on VOD starting September 23, 2022. Who's Intrigued? Anyone?
