The family of a 34-year-old father of two and teacher who suddenly dropped dead have shared how their world has been turned upside down by his passing.

On Saturday, Mitch Cade Williams collapsed and died at his home in Melbourne, Australia.

Mitch - described as an "incredible man" and "one of the greatest" - leaves behind his wife Casey Williams of 12 years.

His two daughters - for whom Mitch "absolutely lived" - Lila, three, and Zoe, only one, also lost their "only" father.

Speaking of the outpouring of support since his death, Casey said, "Reading all these messages, as heartbreaking as they are, it shows how much he meant to people."

"He was the most amazing man, he had a unique personality and his laughter could be heard for miles," she said.

Meanwhile, Mitch's friend Cal Glassford said his friend was first on his list if he "needed to laugh or even cry".

“Life will never be the same again,” he added.
