Compared to Paris and Florence, London is not often considered one of the most romantic places in Europe. However, with its incredible history and stunning architecture, it's hard not to fall in love with London - and London. It's definitely a great place for a romantic European getaway.
It feels like the city is constantly changing, surprising residents and visitors alike with new things to do and places to explore. As a date-loving couple, we've learned to find romance in the midst of the hustle and bustle. Here are fifteen romantic things to do and romantic places to visit in London:

Picnic in St. James ParkCome and dine in style (and with views of Buckingham Palace) at London's St. James Park. It's a quieter park than most in the evening, and a nice place to walk around before parking up and having a picnic.
For a luxury picnic, baskets can be purchased from Fortnum & Mason down the road.
You can also walk into any M&S or Waitrose and buy a bunch of ready-to-eat goodies and a bottle of wine. Besides buying your treats, this is one of the many romantic AND free things to do in London!
Sip wine by candlelight at Gordon's Wine BarGordon's Wine Bar might be the coziest place in London - if you can sit inside, of course! Arrive early and mark out a spot, then sit down and enjoy a bottle of wine by candlelight.
As you sit chatting, you can feel the rumble of passing trains. If you're peckish, they have a nice selection of cheeses.
