Why Jameela Jamil called Blake Lively a ‘suicide bomber’

Jameela Jamil made headlines for the inflammatory language she used to describe Blake Lively in a comment about her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
The “It Ends With Us” co-stars have been at loggerheads since Lively filed a lawsuit accusing her of sexual harassment while filming, as well as creating a “hostile work environment” that left her suffering “severe emotional distress.” He countersued her, but a judge has since thrown out the case.
Court documents obtained by Us every week showed Jamil calling Lively a “suicide bomber” and a “bad guy” as she discussed their legal standoff with Baldoni’s publicist Jennifer Abel.

“I want to officially incorporate nightmares and demons into my vocabulary; AMAZING; she’s doing this to herself,” Abel wrote of Lively, to which Jamil replied, “She’s a suicide bomber at this point.”
“At least there are cases of borderline violence, so she can’t be around a predator,” Jamil noted.

Jameela Jamil told publicist to keep Justin Baldoni ‘away’ from ‘bad guy’ Blake Lively

Elsewhere in his text with Abel, Jamil apparently made fun of Lively’s post in which she shared a link to a domestic violence hotline, saying it was “so cold.”
“I think Justin would share it, with a winking emoji,” Baldoni’s publicist joked, but Jamil disagreed and said: “Ahahaha, no, keep him away from her; keep him quiet; keep him in Sweden.”
Abel then expressed his dislike and disapproval of Lively, to which Jamil seemingly agreed, and accused her of playing a “weird villain” role.
According to the outlet, a source commented on the situation saying, “It is disappointing that instead of listening to women when they speak out, other women are insulting and discrediting them by defending a false male feminist.” »

Taylor Swift appears to have shaded Justin Baldoni in her texts with Blake Lively

The text exchanges between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively also showed how the singer supported her friend while appearing to criticize Baldoni.
In April 2024, Lively sent Swift a text containing a link to the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel, which featured her song “My Tears Ricochet.”
“Wow, I love the way they’re using the song,” Swift responded. “Welcome to Hollywood, Justin.”
They then went further to analyze what kind of message the song would convey to viewers.
“If Justin was strategic,/He wouldn’t look like Taylor Swift in the trailer/Because that gives you more power over the movie, he’s your ally, not his,” Swift wrote.

Lively replied: “You’re so right. And so smart to call him out. He should have shunned your music. I never thought about it. But holys(asterisk)(asterisk)t. How stupid. This was his only chance to have the appearance of an advantage.”
Actress’s lawyer says her text messages with Taylor Swift are irrelevant to the case

Lively’s lawyer, Sigrid McCawley, spoke out on the situation, saying that everything she discussed with Swift was irrelevant and that she did “everything she could to protect her friends from being involved.”
“What is relevant are her claims that she was sexually harassed in her workplace and the witnesses who were there to witness this,” McCawley said.
Meanwhile, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, continues to argue that the “Another Simple Favor” actress’ accusations are “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious,” adding that she used the lawsuit to repair her “negative reputation.”

Freedman added that while his client, Baldoni, and Lively were filming “It Ends With Us,” she made “multiple demands and threats,” including “threatening not to show up on set, threatening not to promote the film, bottom line.”
Lively and Baldoni are expected to testify at their trial later this year. However, his lawyer, Jonathan Bach, recently looked into the matter, saying it was more about a “creative disagreement than misconduct,” according to People Magazine.
“This is a case of making a film, with very charged romantic and sexual themes,” Bach told the court, noting that an intimacy coordinator was available on set. “The book called for sexy scenes.”
