An individual calling himself Nadir Hajarabi, who claims to have previously worked for Worldcoin, has alleged that the Human Identity Verification Project may have committed illegal acts while employed.

In an August 23 YouTube video, Hajarabi said he witnessed “very questionable” activity at Worldcoin (WLD), including “sloppy and/or illegal stuff” before quitting the project ahead of its token launch July 24. the organization was withholding part of their salary and talking to authorities in different jurisdictions in connection with investigations into Worldcoin.

According to Hajarabi, the Worldcoin project had “appalling execution,” which required shortcuts before the release of its whitepaper, and they saw red flags “from day one.” They said they contacted Worldcoin's CEO and the organization's legal team, but did not receive satisfactory responses on alleged discrepancies between its mission and execution.

“I was not paid for my hard and tedious work in ETHCC and ETH Global because I started raising questions,” Hajarabi told Cointelegraph. "It's not fair and I will not be silenced or financially abused. Although my reach is limited, I will speak up for what is rightfully mine [...] a business claiming to resolve injustice is not meant to solve causing financial harm to workers"
