Apple Glasses are coming in 2026 or 2027

Apple Glasses

Apple will launch its first AR/VR device at WWDC in June, the Apple Reality Pro, there are also other AR and VR devices in development, one of which is the Apple Glasses, although that will take a few years before this launch.

Apple is working on a range of different VR and AR devices, the first is coming in June, there's another AR or VR headset due in 2024, then smaller devices like the Apple Glasses will launch in a few years .

The news comes from a recent report by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo which revealed that we can expect these new glasses in 2026 or 2027, the new glasses will apparently use Metalens technology, more information about it with Ming-Chi Kuo is below.

Apple's metallic lens development has three long-term strategic goals: (1) reduce dependence on existing plastic lenses; (2) take advantage of the technological and economic advantages of metalens for the design and sale of the products; and (3) facilitate the extensive use of metalenes in Apple glasses (not AR/MR headsets) which will go into mass production in 2026 or 2027 at the earliest.

Glasses-style head-mounted displays are the killer application for metals. If goggle-style head-mounted displays are successful, metal shipments may experience explosive growth.

We can't wait to find out more details about all of these new AR and VR devices from Apple, the first of which will arrive at their worldwide developer conference in June, the Apple Reality Pro.
