A chilling image of a 12-year-old girl who was found dead in a suitcase shows her moments before she died.

The girl, known only as Lola, was reported missing in Paris, France, after failing to return home from school.

A murder investigation was launched after her body was found tied up in a plastic suitcase near her home late Friday night.

The haunting image taken from CCTV footage shows the young girl, dressed all in white, carrying what appears to be her satchel.

She enters the building where she lived behind a woman who, according to witnesses, was later seen carrying the suitcase in which her boy was discovered.

The suspect, dressed in white sneakers, light leggings and a gray sweater, walked through the door followed closely by the child.

The security clip shows the two men entering the apartments at 3:20 p.m. on Friday and officers confirmed to French media that they had found signs of an abduction in the basement of the building.
