Cristiano Ronaldo dreams of joining Lionel Messi as Man Utd star 'offers himself' to PSG

Cristiano Ronaldo is still pushing hard to leave Manchester United this summer, and Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to be offered his services. United must fight to keep Ronaldo for the second season of his two-year contract, with a dream link to Lionel Messi potentially on the cards.

According to , Jorge Mendes has offered Ronaldo to PSG over the past few days as his client seeks Champions League football for the upcoming season. However, the Ligue 1 champions have shut the door on a potential transfer, insisting there is no place for him under current conditions.

With Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in their ranks, PSG are spending almost £3.5million a week on the stellar attacking trio alone. It's no surprise, then, that the Parc des Princes giants are reluctant to make an approach for Ronaldo, with other high earners like Sergio Ramos and Gianluigi Donnarumma also among Christophe Galtier's squad.

Mendes has also held talks with Bayern Munich and Chelsea in an attempt to find a way for Ronaldo out of Old Trafford after a torrid 2021/22 campaign under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick. Even the arrival of Erik ten Hag and the revitalization it offers doesn't seem to have convinced the 37-year-old striker to stick around.

United have firmly maintained their stance on Ronaldo's future since his exit intentions were first revealed. The Red Devils consider him not for sale, and he is believed to play a central role in Ten Hag's plans ahead of his first season as manager.

The Dutchman will want to keep Ronaldo after Edinson Cavani's summer exit left him without a natural first-team striker. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford can play in the center but prefer to enter from the left, which leaves him thin on options for what promises to be a hectic season.

The Winter World Cup will only intensify an already packed fixture list due to United's return to the Europa League and the accompanying Thursday night and Sunday afternoon schedule. And that will probably contribute to Ronaldo's desire to leave the club for the second time.
