This disastrous pair should pay us, instead of receiving what would be large sums for most of the population struggling to pay soaring prices, mortgages and rents.

Ministerial golden farewells must end immediately, because those fired, dumped and fired do not deserve to walk away with thousands more pounds in their bank accounts.

The Conservatives govern for themselves rather than the nation as a whole, an out of touch party lining their own pockets while they can.

The rose named after Coronation Street legend Barbara Knox, who plays Rita Tanner on the ITV soap opera, is aptly called Gracious Lady.

It will have to be durable to match the half-century it has entertained us on the cobbles.
