Don Lemon Returns to CNN Morning Show, No Apologies Live

CNN

Don Lemon returned to his morning concert on CNN on Wednesday, and if you tuned in to see fireworks on set or an apology from the presenter, you were very disappointed.

Instead, Lemon tweeted an apology about 30 minutes before appearing on CNN This Morning, nearly a week after making sexist remarks on air.

Lemon tweeted: "I appreciate the opportunity to be back on @CNNCThisMorning today. To my network, my colleagues and our amazing audience, I'm sorry. "I heard you, I'm learning of you, and I promise to do better. See you soon."

Then Lemon opened the show with a rather boring segment alongside co-host Poppy Harlow in the studio while Kaitlan Collins reported from Warsaw, Poland, where she is covering President Biden.

Don commented on Biden's speech on Kyiv's toughness a year after Russia invaded Ukraine. He turned to Harlow and said, "Very powerful speech from the President."

Harlow replied, "Very powerful and juxtaposed to what we heard from Putin in the morning," referring to the Russian president's speech in opposition to Biden's.

Harlow then turned to Lemon and happily added, "What a day. Hello everyone, Don and I are here in New York. And Kaitlin is live again in Warsaw, Poland."
