First Japanese Teaser For Takashi Shimizu's New Horror "Immersion"

Immersion Trailer

There's a chilling trailer for the latest horror flick from Japanese filmmaker Takashi Shimizu, best known as the creator of Ju-on: The Grudge and its many remakes/sequels. His latest movie is called Immersion, and it's actually a virtual reality horror movie, one of the first of its kind in Japan. Not much is known about it yet, and it is expected to open in Japan in 2023, but there are no further details on its international debut. "Mysterious mysteries and deaths befalling the VR-tech research team one after another, the grudge of the 'red woman' released, the island dyed bright red." (The one seen at the start of this trailer.) There's an unprecedented fear waiting between reality and the virtual world. They add this slogan: "In 2023, don't miss the fear that will give you goosebumps!" Sounds fun to me! No cast list has yet been announced either. There's not much to this teaser, just 30 seconds of footage, but it does give a sense of the spooky atmosphere and how it all connects to this VR world they're building. Scary! Take a look below.

Here is the Japanese teaser (+ three posters) for Takashi Shimizu's Immersion on YouTube (via comic):
