Frank Warren offers to make a similar deal to Anthony Joshua to save Tyson Fury against Oleksandr Usyk

Frank Warren says Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk isn't gone yet. The Queensbury Promotions chief said he would enter into last-minute negotiations with Usyk's promoter Alexander Krassyuk to hopefully get the fight on the line and offered to sweeten the deal with a clause of revenge sharing similar to what was presented to Anthony Joshua. in December.

Negotiations continued at a standstill over the split of the purse for the historic event, with Fury saying he won't be in the fight unless he receives 70% of the lion's share of the pot. Meanwhile, Usyk's team demanded at least 60-40 but eventually gave in to Fury's demands.

However, according to boxing insider Mike Coppinger, the talks fell apart as the two sides couldn't "agree on other terms critical to the deal beyond sharing the sotck exchange". Warren joined talkSPORT today and explained it was due to a dispute over the rematch purse split and offered to smooth things over by reversing the 70/30 split if Usyk wins the inaugural encounter. p>

Fury's team offered a similar deal to Joshua in their last talks when AJ's team took offense at only receiving 40% of the split. "We're ready to do the same deal on the rematch that they did with Anthony Joshua in the rematch," Warren said.

He added, "As soon as we're done with you, Alex and I are going to get back to fighting and try to work out a deal. We have maybe two days to do that."

But Krassyuk says there is a lot to do before an agreement can be reached. "The fight is off," he told talkSPORT. "The reason for that is he went too far. There was a feeling that after Usyk went 70-30, Tyson Fury started thinking he could put a saddle around his neck and start riding. ride Usyk as much as he could.

“It’s not right. I mean, Usyk accepted the 70-30 split out of courtesy. He was so loyal and he was so willing to make this fight happen. not Tyson Fury, the fight is about the WBC belt which is pending in his collection."

He added, "If it's so complicated that Tyson is trying to avoid it by putting so many hurdles in front of it while getting the deal done, there's no need to try harder and we'll just our way.

"The only thing that sticks in my mind, we can say very clearly that the undisputed remains our top priority and we will do our best to make that happen as soon as possible, and whatever the temporary holder of the WBC belt, we will try to make it happen.”
