With less than a week until the general election, voters checking their ballots may be surprised by the presence of certain political parties in their riding.

Although most people are familiar with the major political powerhouses, there are a few underdog parties that go unnoticed. Some of these parties are created for satirical purposes to provide comic relief to voters, while others attempt to make real political statements.
