High School's a Nightmare in the trailer for Netflix's 'Wednesday' series

Netflix's 'Wednesday' trailer is here, and it's already giving us the chills with some creepy, creepy stuff. In the trailer, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is expelled from her eighth school after attacking bullies who hurt her brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez). Her parents, Morticia and Gomez (Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán) transfer her to Nevermore Academy, where they went to school and think she might fit in better. But, as Wednesday says in the trailer, the school turns out to be a "nightmare full of mystery, chaos and murder" - just what she loves. Read on to watch the trailer.

On June 1, '90s Addams Wednesday, Christina Ricci revealed to Variety that it was a pleasure to see Ortega star as the iconic character on the set of "Wednesday."

"Jenna is amazing," Ricci said. "I saw some of the wardrobe photos before I went [on set] so I knew [what she looked like in character] and I was like, this is such a beautiful modern take on Wednesday. It's so tonally true to the heart and soul of [the original], but it's incredibly modern and it's awesome."

Although she won't be performing again on Wednesday, Ricci will appear in Netflix's upcoming series, and the star told Variety that she loves returning to the gothic world of "The Addams Family." "It's super fun," the "Yellow Vests" star told the publication. "I loved working with Tim [Burton]. I worked with Gwendoline Christie, it was amazing."
