An Irish dance organization has launched an investigation into allegations of rigging of results.

An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG) said its ethics committee had received allegations of several serious breaches of its code of conduct .

He said evidence had also been provided, apparently dating back several years.

CLRG has hired a former Court of Appeal judge to carry out the investigation.

CLRG, which is the oldest established organization in Ireland for Irish Dancing said: "Such unethical behavior cannot and will not be tolerated by this organization."

'Miscellaneous incitements'

The complaints were filed with An Coiste Faire (CLRG Ethics Committee) in July D, with supporting documentation .

A statement was first emailed to members last week, and this was seen by BBC News NI.
