Top Tories Jeremy Hunt and Dominic Raab risk losing their seats if the Tories betray 12.3 million pensioners with a cut in real terms, analysis finds.

The Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister are among the Cabinet Ministers with far more state pensioners in their seats than their majority.

That means they risk being ousted if they abandon the triple lockdown and trigger a massive revolt by pensioners, many of whom historically vote Conservative.

Mr. Hunt has a majority of 8,817 and 21,087 state pension claimants in South West Surrey, according to Labor analysis.

Mr. Raab has 19,122 state pensioners, but a majority of just 2,743 in Esher and Walton.

Labour will step up pressure on the Tories on Tuesday night to keep the triple lockdown in a vote in the House of Commons - challenging backbench MPs to challenge the government.
