Between Two Worlds Trailer

"It's a commando operation. 90 minutes, not a second more." Cohen Media Group has unveiled the new official American trailer for a French independent film titled Between two worlds, also called Ouistreham. This first premiered in 2021 at the Cannes Film Festival and finally gets a theatrical release in the United States in August more than two years later. A long-standing passion project for Juliette Binoche, Between two worlds is adapted from Le Quai de Ouistreham by Florence Aubenas (The Night Cleaner), and marks Emmanuel Carrère's return to directing for the first time since La Moustache in 2008. Acclaimed author Marianne Winckler investigates undercover the exploitation of the working class in Northern France. She eventually takes a job as a housekeeper on the cross-Channel ferry and develops close ties with the other housekeepers, many of whom have extremely limited resources and earning opportunities. As she learns more about the plight of these workers, Marianne struggles with her deception of them and tries to rationalize that it's for the greater good. Sounds really good, an important and thought provoking French social realism drama.
