Kate, Princess of Wales, was confronted by a woman and said she was not 'in her own country' while traveling in Northern Ireland this afternoon.

The exchange took place when Kate and William, the new Prince and Princess of Wales, were arranging an impromptu meeting with locals in North Belfast.

Shaking hands with Kate in Carrickfergus, the Irish nationalist said: "Nice to meet you, but it would be better if it was when you were in your own country."

The woman, who wore an emerald green cardigan and appeared to be filming the exchange on a cellphone, added: "Ireland belongs to the Irish."

And Kate also shared a beaming smile with baby Barney, who showed off his teddy bear to the princess.
