Kering pays homage to Carmen Jaquier, Nili Lotan's L.A. party and Prada's New Hamptons look

JAQUIER HONORÉ: Kering will award the Women in Motion Emerging Talent award to the director of “Thunder” this year Carmen Jaquier.

"I am very grateful to receive this award, especially from a visionary director and inspiring like Ninja Thyberg. Thanks to Women in Motion, I have a feeling of sisterhood, which touches me and gives me hope in this desire that I have for reflection, rebellion and transmission. I have feelings special for all the people - technicians, producers, writers, actresses and actors - who have been fiercely committed to my side for my first feature film, "Thunder", she said.

The Swiss director was chosen by last year's winner, Swedish director Thyberg. It is a Kering tradition that the Emerging Talent Award is selected by its predecessor.

Carmen Jaquier is 100% faithful to its female protagonist and this film has a truly feminine look. It is a great honor to pass this award on to him,” Thyberg said of choosing to pass the honor on to Jaquier.

Jaquier will take the stage with Michelle Yeoh, winner of this year's Women in Motion Award, and she will receive a 50,000 euros grant for his next film project.

Jaquier is a graduate of the Ecole Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne, Switzerland, where she studied photography before going to the cinema.
