Konrad Laimer ready to change summer for Bayern

Konrad Laimer is set to leave RB Leipzig when his contract expires at the end of the season to join Bayern Munich as a free agent, according to Fabrizio Romano. A verbal agreement on terms and conditions between the Bundesliga champions and the player's entourage was reached in December, with the few remaining details expected to be ironed out in the coming days.

Bayern have been chasing Laimer since the summer of 2022, and it is believed that for a time they faced competition for his services from the Premier League. Liverpool are believed to be planning a major midfield overhaul in the near future and they have reportedly considered the 25-year-old Austria international as a potential target, and the same goes for Tottenham Hotspur.

However, it appears that Laimer chose to stay in Germany rather than move to England.

Since joining Leipzig in 2017 from partner club RB Salzburg, Laimer has made a total of 167 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing 18 assists through his midfield role.< /p>
