KSI apologizes for racial slurs in Sidemen YouTube video

YouTuber turned boxer KSI has apologized for uttering a racial slur in a recent YouTube video .

British rapper, real name Olajide William Olatunji, also says he will be taking a break from social media.

He made the insult during a video with his YouTube group, The Sidemen, where they performed a Countdown challenge.

From his selection of letters, KSI has created a derogatory four-letter word for people of South Asian descent.

"He n 'there is no excuse no matter the circumstances I shouldn't have said it and I'm sorry,' the 29-year-old tweeted.

"I'm not perfect, I'm going to mess up my life, and lately I've screwed up a lot."

< p class="ssrcss -1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00">The video has since been removed from The Sidemen's social media, and the band have been criticized for laughing after KSI said the insult.

The Sidemen also tweeted later on Monday, apologizing for the "completely unacceptable and inexcusable" insult.
