Keir Starmer speaks at Labor conference in Liverpool

Labour has broken records ahead of the Tories in four separate explosive polls, all released tonight.

Four major polling firms all simultaneously declared it to be the biggest ever lead they had for Keir Starmer's party after the market turmoil.

A YouGov survey for The Times gave the party a blistering 33-point lead, demolishing Labour's previous record of 17 points in 21 years, set a few days ago.

Survation gave Labor a 21-point lead while Redfield & Wilton Strategies took a 17-point lead. And a Deltapoll poll for the Mirror tonight gives Labor a 19 point lead over the Tories.

The four results are among the biggest Labor leads in modern history ahead of the next election, which Liz Truss says will take place in 2024.

Deltapol put the party at 48% of the vote and the Conservatives at 29% after Keir Starmer's conference speech and a Tory mini-budget that sparked market turbulence.

This is Deltapoll's biggest Labor lead since the company was founded in 2018. It beats the company's previous record by 13 points, set four days ago.

Before tonight's other two most important leads were revealed, the company suggested that the lead - calculated after removing 'don't know' - was Labor's most important for 20 years.< /p>

While comparisons between companies are treated with caution, Deltapoll said the last time a major pollster gave Labor a 19-point lead was in July 2002.

Labour is ahead of the Conservatives in every region, and across all ages and social groups, with the exception of the over-65s, left-leaning voters, pensioners and paid-for homeowners. ..
