Lawrence helps Surrey move closer to victory over Somerset

Dan Lawrence was the surprise hero with the ball, taking 3-45 after receiving the new ball alongside Jordan Clark in a three-man mini-session before lunch.

Goldsworthy did 58 and Lammonby 51 to add a century to his day, but at stumps Somerset were only 61 runs ahead at 204-6.

Surrey had already reached 428 in their first innings after having already taken 73 runs towards the good at 358- 6. At times, English batter Lawrence caught Sean Dickson before deflecting off base and also accounted for Matt Renshaw, lbw sweep for 16.
