Liz Truss is almost as popular with the public as Prince Andrew, according to a new poll which shows his approval rating has taken another hit.

YouGov found that only 10% of Britons have a favorable opinion of the Prime Minister while 80% have an opinion unfavorable - giving her a net -70 approval.

The stunning decline in her popularity since the disastrous mini budget that sparked the market turmoil means that Ms Truss is almost as hated as the Duke of 'York.

Ms Truss apologized to MPs for her 'mistakes' on Monday night - but pledged to lead the Tories through the next general election as she fights for her job.
