Liz Truss Takes Down Sunak Supporters As She Builds 'Buddy Cabinet'

Liz Truss' hopes of uniting her party after A restless leadership were in danger tonight after they brutally cleaned out the cabinet of supporters of his rival Rishi Sunak during his first hours as prime minister. James Cleverly as Foreign Secretary, with far-right Suella Braverman – a supporter of withdrawal from the European Court of Human Rights – becoming Home Secretary and Therese Coffey appointed the first female Deputy Prime Minister from the UK and took charge of the health case. p>

Jacob Rees-Mogg has been named trade secretary after taking part in talks with energy companies on a package of measures to tackle the cost of living crisis, due to be unveiled on Thursday and is expected to include a £2,500 price freeze for households costing £90billion, plus additional help for businesses.
