A man admitted to killing his cousin and her four young children because he felt she was disrespecting him.

Mum Kemisha Wright and her four children, Kimana Smith, 15, Shemari Smith, 10, Kafana Smith, 5, and Kishaun Henry, 23 months, were all found with their throats slit in their home in Clarendon, Jamaica. .

The mother's 34-year-old cousin, Rushane Barnett, has confessed to the brutal murders that took place on the night of June 20.

The prosecution said: "After inflicting these injuries, he left the house and placed the knife with other objects some distance away. These objects were recovered and identified as belonging to the accused".
