Matthew Waite: The all-rounder joins Worcestershire early from Yorkshire

But he has now joined Worcestershire on loan and will be available to face promotion hopefuls Nottinghamshire and Middlesex over the next fortnight this summer.

He took six wickets in his only Championship appearance for the Pears and also had three T20 Blast appearances.

"I enjoyed my time at Worcestershire earlier in the season and was already looking forward to starting work in November ready for next year," Waite told the club's website.

"To be available for the last two games of the season is an added bonus, and I hope I can make an impact. "
