More and more parents are withdrawing their children from school during school terms as some airlines are raising ticket prices by up to 1,200%.

Rising prices during the May midterm will hit families at who risk fines if they travel outside of school holidays.< /p>

But a survey for the Mail shows that many parents are now taking the risk, 13% having booked a trip with their children during the school term.

The survey of 2,000 UK holidaymakers, carried out by Holiday Extras, revealed the increase in number of parents choosing to travel during the term due to soaring costs.< /p>

When the same survey was conducted in January, 10% of parents said they had booked holidays during the school term.
