Mum killed after captain cuts lines on boat trip, leaving children injured

A mother died while parasailing and her child and nephew were injured after the parasail entered a bridge.

The victim, Supraja Alaparthi, 33, was parasailing with his 10-year-old son and 9-year-old nephew when the winds picked up and tragically blew them against the old Seven Mile Bridge to the west of Marathon in the Florida Keys. .

The prosecution claims that "all family members were yelling at the captain, hang on, use a lifesaving device, jump in the water...Do something to save our family," according to CBS.< /p>

The arrest warrant stated: "The captain did not maneuver his vessel below deck to offer assistance, even though family members aboard the parasail later reported that they did. begging for help."

He also said a member of the public in another boat responded and was the first to provide assistance, cutting all three of their harnesses and placing them on their boat.
