A mother wants to find and thank a stranger who saved her young son's life when he choked on a candy.

Mary Long O'Connor was spending an afternoon at home with her six-year-old son Martin in Cork, Ireland on Thursday when things took a dramatic turn.

The little boy suddenly choked on a blue candy he was eating, and Mary desperately called 999.

She then grabbed her panting son in the hallway and rushed to the front door screaming for help.

Neighbors rushed in but Martin lost consciousness and appeared to be in very poor condition.
