2023: Fani-Kayode lobbied Atiku for campaign team recruitment – claims Dino Melaye
Former Kogi West senator Dino Melaye claims ex-aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode lobbied People's Democratic Party PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to recruit him to his campaign team.
A statement from Melaye alleged that Fani-Kayode approached a PDP leader, Timi Frank, to help facilitate his recruitment to Atiku's campaign team.
Spokesperson for the Atiku campaign team described the leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a serial hustler.
Melaye insisted that Fani-Kayode was seeking attention as he plunged into the PDP crisis.
He described the former minister's time with PDP as a misadventure.
The statement reads in part: "The FFK roller coaster is simply seeking attention, having used all forms of ingratitude to be recruited by the People's Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, but failed.
"To be sure, he contacted Timi Frank to help him lobby for a position in Campaign Management, but where is the file to help his desire?
"As a serial hustler around food distributors, FFK's misadventure in the PDP leadership issue is nothing but a subtle campaign to get noticed and rewarded by potential payers ."
