A Labor Party leader, Bayo Averehi, has criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for allegedly using the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to subvert the will of Nigerians in the presidential and presidential elections. National Assembly which have just ended. .

He however lamented that the outcome of the 2023 elections was widely condemned by local and international observers, thus making Nigeria the laughing stock of the courtesy of nations.
Averehi said: "It is because young people and others have come out in droves, having developed confidence in the electoral process through the provisions of the electoral law, which have given assurance that their votes will count. .
“They hastily announced the results without regard to reported electoral anomalies and provisions of the constitution which state, ‘and the FCT.’ In the end, we will prevail, the truth will prevail.”
