Concession of airports: aviation unions kick and threaten to strike

Several aviation worker unions have threatened to go on strike in protest against the federal government's plan to concession four international airports.

Employees from various unions in the aviation sector have pledged to resist government moves to sell the international airports of Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano. The Federal Ministry of Aviation has announced that Corporacion America Airports Consortium is the preferred bidder for Abuja's Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

ENL Consortium has also been selected as a standby bidder for NAIA.
