Barcelona linked with re-signing Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wants to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window, with Barcelona keen to bring the former Arsenal striker back to Camp Nou, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Spanish publication's report claimed that Barcelona head coach Xavi wants to bring the striker back if Memphis Depay leaves in the middle of the season.
Aubameyang himself wants to leave Chelsea in January. The former Arsenal striker is struggling to buy time at the Blues under new head coach Graham Potter. When Aubameyang joined Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel was in charge of former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners. The striker worked with Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund. The German coach was sacked a few days later.
However, Barcelona won't be able to sign Aubameyang in January as they couldn't register them for the second time this season. The former La Liga champions sold the striker to Chelsea in September 2022.
