"It's something we all experienced growing up. We were often prevented from playing. So we created our own teams, we traveled around the country and despite the obstacles, we continued to play at the football.

"Women's football has come a long way. But there is still a long way to go. We call on you and your government to ensure that all girls have access to a minimum of 2 hours of physical education per week.

"Not only should we bring football to all girls, but we also need to invest in and support female physical education teachers. Their role is crucial and we need to empower them to ensure women's football sessions They are key role models from which so many young girls can grow.

"We've made incredible progress in women's football, but this generation of school girls deserves better. They deserve to play football at lunchtime, they deserve to play football in PE class and they deserve to believe that they can one day play for England. We want their dreams to come true too.
