Enugu Assembly Leader Ezeugwu wants business leaders to join partisan politics
The Enugu State Assembly Leader, Dr Ikechukwu Ezeugwu, has urged business people to register and actively participate in partisan politics in Nigeria and Africa in its whole.
Ezeugwu gave this accusation in his remarks at the recent 12th Annual African Achievers Awards at Queen's Gate in London, UK.
The event included notable personalities, including the former President of Mauritius, Her Excellency Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, who served as the Director General of CIDP, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Mauritius and served as the 6th President and the first female President of the Republic of Mauritius until 2018.
The former president who gave the keynote address is the author of numerous books and articles in the area of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Previous recipients include the late Bishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation of the United States of America, among other notable individuals and corporate figures around the world.

He was honored as Humanitarian of the Year, Africa of the West, 2021 for his interest in empowering lives through education among other humanitarian gestures.
Ezeugwu was invited to give a talk about his Foundation at the 12th edition with a global audience to encourage others to sow seeds as small as mustard that could sprout and bear fruit with quantum yields.
In his lecture, Ezeugwu said his foundation started the scholarship program in 2013, after winning the election to represent Udenu State Constituency in the State Legislative Assembly. Enugu in 2011, noting that it was his own way of giving back to society. .
