EPL: Don't call me to rest Man City players for World Cup - Guardiola warns coaches
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has told national team managers who want their World Cup players to rest this weekend: 'Don't call me!'
Guardiola said so before the final round of Premier League games before the tournament kicked off in Qatar.
The Spaniard has made it clear that he will not rotate his team to Brentford, with the aim of helping the countries that will participate in the tournament.
"Absolutely, we are not going to rest players for national teams.
"I have not received any [calls] and there is no need to call me. I advise, do not call me," Guardiola said during a press conference on Friday.
>He added: "It's the last game, most of the players just after the game leave for the national team. They pack their bags and it's dangerous."
Guardiola said he would not attend World Cup matches in Qatar, but would instead return to Barcelona, before flying to Manchester on December 5.
