Everton vs Man Utd: Owen suggests Ten Hag players roll out for Red Devils attack

Former Manchester United star Owen Hargreaves has suggested manager Erik ten Hag pair Cristiano Ronaldo alongside Anthony Martial and Rashford in the Red Devils' attack for their game against Everton this weekend.

Ronaldo remained on the pitch for 90 minutes as the Red Devils secured a 3-2 win over Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League on Thursday night.

It wasn't the 37-year-old's night as he struggled in front of goal, missing a few clear chances.

A brace from super substitute Rashford and a goal from Martial sealed United's victory in Cyprus.

And Scholes thinks Ronaldo, Martial and Rashford should be United's attacking trio this weekend.

He told BT Sport: "They got on very well, Marcus and Cristiano.

"Marcus runs very well with the ball and it's a very good run from Cristiano [for United's equalizer]. It's nice to see them teaming up, often you see them both having blows.

"I think they can join Martial, Marcus and Cristiano in the middle because they can play wide.

"He [Rashford] is actually almost impossible to play against, he's fast, he's strong, he's a good attacker off the ball, with Martial and Cristiano there are options to be positive."
