FG will provide 4,728 vulnerable citizens between 50,000 and 300,000 Naira cash grants in Zamfara

The federal government has entered into cash grant disbursement schemes for vulnerable groups to 4,728 beneficiaries in the 14 local government areas of Zamfara State.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, revealed this during the launch of the Cash Grant for Vulnerable Groups held at the council chamber of Gusau, Zamfara State.

According to her, 4,616 beneficiaries have been verified and registered to receive interest-free loans from the State Enterprise Empowerment Scheme ranging from N50,000 to N300,000.

The Minister also launched the national sensitization exercise for the National Home Grown School Feeding Program and hired 130 independent monitors, among other projects.

In Zamfara State, 800 beneficiaries, including disabled and elderly people, will receive a one-time token of N50,000.

In his address, Governor Bello Muhammed Matawalle of Zamfara State described the minister as a worthy daughter of the state.

“The Minister has always proven herself to be a worthy daughter of our state. This is particularly evident through the series of federal government intervention programs under her ministry, from which our state has benefited immensely. also seen through his friendly disposition towards this administration at all times.

"I understand that the Minister is in Zamfara State to distribute food and non-food items to internally displaced persons, report conditional cash transfer and cash grants to vulnerable groups, distribute letters of employment to independent controllers and also provide interest-free loans to farmers and market women.

“These efforts are bold steps to alleviate poverty and economically empower our people. The current economic situation in the country demands concerted efforts by the government at all levels. the state to bring relief and relief to the people of the state."
