G5, Bello, Umahi, Malami governments win Rivers Awards

Four of the People's Democratic Party's G5 governors and allies of their Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, have been awarded the Rivers State Great Star of Service, the highest honors of the state.< /p>

The Governors are, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpazu, Abia; Seyi Makinde, Oyo and Ifeayi Ugwuahi, Enugu.

Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Bala Mohammed, Bauchi and Ahmadu Fintri of Adamawa State also received the GSSRS award.

The awards were presented to them by Governor Nyesom Wike during the Rivers State Government Honors and Awards 2022 at Government House, Port Harcourt on Saturday evening.

The second category was the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State award.

Recipients include Federation Attorney General and Justice Minister Abubakar Malami, Rivers State Governor's wife, Justice Suzzette Wike, wives of Seyi Makinde and Donald Duke.

Similarly, former PDP National Vice President Chief Bode George, former Cross Rivers State Governor Donald Duke, former Cross Rivers State Governor 'Ekiti, Ayo Fayose, Former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, Former Governor of Ondo State, Olesegun Mimiko, Former Governor of Abia State, Theodore Orji also received awards.

The others are former Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Dakwambo and former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

Other award categories are the Civil Service (Judiciary), the Rivers State legal team that won the return of oil wells to the state, where seven senior attorneys from Nigeria received the award, including Mike Ozekhome and Ifedayo Adedipe.< /p>

The other category is the civil service (legislature), the civil service (administration), among others.

During the event, many honorees and dignitaries exchanged pleasantries and posed for the photographers, amid music, drama, comedy and refreshments.
