A businesswoman, Omoni Ebi, dragged her husband, Edukwu, to a customary court in Jikwoyi, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for alleged assault and battery and spinal cord injury of his wife. brother.

Ebi, who resides on Abacha Road in Mararaba, Abuja, in her divorce case, said: "I cannot continue to live under the same roof as this man. He is violent.

"He subjected me to domestic violence and always threatened my life.

"When he arrived, my husband beat him, which resulted in permanent damage to his spinal cord."

She told the court that her brother had spent over 5 million naira to treat her spinal cord, to no avail.

She begged the court to dissolve their marriage and grant her custody of their two children.

In his response, Edukwu, a businessman denied the allegations.

Presiding Judge Labara Gusau adjourned the case.
