New Nollywood family comedy 'Palava' premieres in Lagos (PHOTOS)

On Sunday evening, Inkblot's highly anticipated all-star production "Palava" premiered in Lagos.

Ahead of its December 9 release, the premiere was held at Jewel Aida in Lekki and saw an influx of celebrities, both from the cast and other industry stars, including RMD, Iyabo Ojo , Segilola Ogidan, Jemima Osunde, Beverly Naya and Neo Akpofure walk the red carpet, most in Ankara "Owambe Wanda" themed uniform outfits.

Also present were Nancy Isime, Bisola Aiyeola, Sharon Ooja, Layole Oyatogun, Ini Dinma Okojie and Ruth Kadri.

On the red carpet, some cast members shared their experiences working on this set.

The famous actor Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), the main character, has chosen to remain mysterious about his role in the film. He said, “No spoilers; everyone should watch the movie; look at the posters and tell me if you don't want to see this movie."

Speaking with PREMIUM TIMES, Iyabo Ojo revealed that she was playing a naughty character in this film, but the only challenge she had was working late at night; she said, “We had to shoot very late at night, sometimes until the wee hours of the morning, it was a bit difficult for me because I like my sleep. But it was fun."

< p>Beverly Naya, who played the character of Charlie, revealed that the team attracted her to this production. “I loved the cast, the cast was amazing, they were consistent, they worked hard and I've worked with them before too; it's like the third time I've worked with them.”

BBNaija star Akpofure, who was cast in this film, revealed that it was his first feature film and was happy with his character as he already fit into his regular lifestyle.

He pointed out that casting bullies is his biggest challenge, and he said, "The hardest part for me was rolling with these actors in the cast because they're people who put their names on Nollywood, but it was my first movie and look at the cast.”
