Nigerians should pray for God's will in 2023 elections —Ologbonyo

PROPHET Ade Ologbonyo of Christ Apostolic Church, Boanerges Worldwide has urged Nigerians to pray for God's will to prevail over the country in the 2023 presidential election.

The cleric asked people not to trust anyone but God, who can use anyone to transform the country, just as he noted that decentralization of power and amendments to the constitution are the antidotes to the myriad challenges facing the nation.

Ologbonyo made this known during the grand finale of the 10th edition of the mission's annual 63-day fasting and prayer program, held in Ise-Ekiti, Ekiti State .

He noted that the program was a divine instruction from God since 2012, that prayers be offered before the year and to avert a calamity upon Nigeria between July 1 and September 1 every year.

According to him, "The spiritual truth is that out of all the presidential candidates, God did not choose anyone but someone must emerge and we must pray that God will give us someone who will stop all these murders, kidnappings, bandits and terrorism on our land

“No good road, no light, our economy is not working, the price of food, goods and services has skyrocketed. We should pray for God's intervention. I haven't seen anyone with the right ideology to bring perfection closer to the country.

“Let us pray for the will of God. He can use anyone, even the weak; we must not trust the man who can fail and disappoint. We must continue to pray for peace and God's will to prevail over Nigeria in the elections.

“Let the Nigerians themselves craft the constitution that can work for them. Those who fuss do so because the system is not working for them. When power is devolved, Nigeria will be one of the best countries in the world.

“Americans, Brits and others know this because it is a very large market and the most populous black nation on the planet with over 200 million people. There is a proposal that Nigeria will be among the top seven countries in the world. But people want to sell their generators and so they won't allow our electricity to work,” he said.

He however advised President Muhammadu Buhari to order all state governors to use their security votes rightly by investing in technology to fight insecurity and instruct the National Assembly to work on the recommendations of the country's last national conference for adoption.
