Ronaldo starts bringing in his former boss to replace Rudi Garcia

Cristiano Ronaldo has recommended former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane to Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo wants the Saudi club to bring in Zidane as a replacement for Rudi Garcia who was sacked on Thursday.

The Saudi side sacked Garcia on Thursday and has since shortlisted high-profile leadership candidates.

CBS Sports reports that Al-Nassr are looking to bring in either the former France international or Jose Mourinho.

According to the report, the Saudi side has made progress in the negotiations with Zidane.

They have already sent a verbal offer to the Frenchman.

Ronaldo has played under both managers and has a say in the hiring and firing of Al-Nassr managers.

The Portugal international is involved in talks over Zidane's potential appointment.

The report, however, noted that there is no certainty that Zidane wants to manage the Saudi Pro League side.
