Samsung Finally Confirms S23 Blurry Cameras, S23 Plus Says Fix Is Coming
When testing the camera capabilities of the S23 or S23 Plus, you may have been surprised that when taking a close-up photo, the area around the subject looks a bit blurry. Indeed, the rear wide-angle camera of the S23 and S23 Plus has a bright aperture, which helps in taking pictures in the dark. However, it also means that more visible selective focus can blur the background of your photos.
Samsung adds that it plans to fix this issue in a future software update, without revealing a timeline for the fix. The company has also released a few "solutions", which are more like workarounds. A suggested workaround is to step back if your subject is 30 cm (~12 inches) away or even closer.
