Swarovski partners with The Mark Hotel to create Holiday Wonderland



brought its magic to the Mark Hotel ce by cultivating a sparkling wonderland. A scintillating presentation of gingerbread-inspired, season's favorite cookie, has taken over The Mark Hotel at 25 East 77th Street in Manhattan.

The gingerbread facade is made from thousands and thousands of with a roof of frosting and whipped cream in hand-sculpted fiberglass and sprinkled with crystal. Giant candy canes and a stunning emerald arch form the entrance, while large uniformed nutcrackers stand as a shield.

Two gingerbread-themed candy carts at the entrance promote chocolate hot and mega lollipops suitable for human consumption. The oversized treats are shaped like bright Swarovski crystals in many festive colors.

Inside the foyer, the gingerbread theme continues with a Christmas tree and jewelry showcases to offer a concept to this seasonal gift. During installation, Swarovski used reignited crystals, which puts unused crystal inventory that would otherwise be waste at risk of polishing.

The Mark's front was designed by Swarovski's innovative director, Giovanna Engelbert.
