The most valuable XI in world football: Foden, James, Mbappe...

There are an abundance of young stars coming into world football at the moment and several of them are among the most valuable XI in football.

Four of Europe's top five leagues are represented in the squad with players from the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

Based on their Transfermarkt ratings, we've compiled the most valuable XI in world football right now.

GK: Thibaut Courtois

Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois is the oldest player to have made the most valuable XI, as he is five years older than any other player in the team.

The 30-year-old is still going strong in Spain and is the most valuable goalkeeper in world football as things stand. Valued at 60 million euros, he is just ahead of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alisson.

RB: Reece James

James is valued at €70m along with Achraf Hakimi, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joao Cancelo. Since James is the youngest of these players, he is given the green light in the most valuable XI.

The 23-year-old was a notable absentee from England's World Cup squad through injury and he will now look to return to action with Chelsea in the Premier League.

CB: Ruben Dias

Manchester City have a wealth of options as a centre-back, but it's Portugal international Dias who makes the cut as their most valuable defender. The 25-year-old is valued at €75m, which is considerably more than Aymeric Laporte and John Stones.

DC: Josko Gvardiol

Lionel Messi may have lost some of his valuation when he flushed Gvardiol at the World Cup, but the 20-year-old defender is certainly one of the best in the business right now.

The RB Leipzig star is currently valued at €75m and he is linked with several elite European clubs after a successful World Cup campaign.

LB: Alphonso Davies

Davies has suffered a series of injuries over the past two seasons which may have halted his progress. Despite that, he is one of the most explosive and exciting defenders in the world right now.

The Canadian full-back is valued at €70m and continues to impress for Bayern Munich. Having already won 12 trophies at the age of 22, he is on the way to greatness.

CDM: Aurelien Tchouameni

English fans know how devastating Tchouameni can be. Real Madrid picked him up from Monaco this summer and his value should only continue to rise.

The 22-year-old is valued at €90m and is expected to play in Real Madrid's midfield for the next decade with Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde.

CM: Jude Bellingham

Speculation over Bellingham's future is at an all-time high after a marvelous World Cup campaign with England. At just 19, Bellingham has proven he is destined for the top.

Bellingham is valued at €110m, although it will likely take even more to land him away from Borussia Dortmund. The midfielder has already racked up over 170 professional appearances as a teenager.

CM: Phil Foden

AD: Kylian Mbappe

As the most valuable player in world football right now, Mbappe is valued at 180 million euros. It would surely take a record transfer fee to lure the World Cup winner away from PSG.

Mbappe is the top scorer in Europe's top five leagues for the 2022 calendar year with 31 league goals in 32 appearances. With several records already in sight, its potential is unprecedented.

ST: Erling Haaland

Haaland is not far off Mbappe's valuation as he is currently worth €170m according to Transfermarkt. This rating makes him the most valued player in the Premier League and second only to Mbappe in the world.

The Man City striker has maintained his incredible Premier League goalscoring record this season with 18 goals in 13 appearances already.
